Recent Survey on Environmental Print

Environmental Print now seen as important by over 90% of print buyers.

In our recent survey of print buyers in mid-sized businesses to ASX listed corporations found that over 90% of respondents now saw the need to look at the environmental credentials of their print suppliers.  This is an amazing turnaround from a similar survey conducted in 2007 which saw only 10% show similar concern.

A third of those surveyed rated 'Environmental Sustainability' of their print as very important in their buying decisions, while over half rated it as important.  With the government's mandatory carbon reporting coming into force, those businesses needing to report are looking for suppliers who help them reduce their carbon footprint and make reporting easier.  A major Australian bank is now asking all suppliers for their documented environmental policy and formal targets for reducing greenhouse emissions.  And a major commercial MNC is now placing 20% of tender weighting based on a supplier's carbon neutrality.
